January Beauty Favourites

I hope you all had a great January! I’ve been working nights all month so haven’t got to see much daylight. The only upside is that I’ve been too tired to hit the shops so my bank is loving me for now!
I think I’ve spent most of my days off this month playing with all the amazing makeup I got over Christmas so here is a quick round up of my Top 5 beauty products that I tried out in January.
1. Kat Von D Ink Liner

I have never been great with eyeliner, to be honest I never really practice it so when it comes to going out I’m hesitant to start applying it in case I screw it up. I had heard great reviews Kat Von Ds makeup so I decided I’d try out her eyeliners and I’m so glad I did. The ink pens are highly pigmented and really easy to apply. I’ve already started to get braver with my eyeliner by using these. They’re only available in America but I recommend asking someone to pick these up for you if you can.
2. Sanctuary Skincare Beauty Sleep Mask

If you ready my post this month on my skincare routine you’ll know I’m trying to take much better care of my skin lately. One of the newer products I tried was this face mask by Sanctuary Spa which is available in Boots. I love that this is a face mask that I can apply and then climb into bed to let it work its magic. After applying this I always wake up with my skin feeling super soft and nourished. Some face masks on the market can be really expensive so this is a nice option that you can apply twice a week without breaking the bank! Boots are doing 3 for 2 on this brand at the moment which is a great way to try out the products!
3. Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette

I’m pretty sure at this stage every beauty blogger out there has this palette. It was so hyped up and I was delighted my godparents gave it to me for Christmas. I’ve already used this a good few times since getting it and I can tell I’m going to use this so much, regardless of what season it is. I love that this palette contains a mix of matte and shimmer eyeshadows with both neutral and bold tones in there. I can’t wait to play with this some more!
4. Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade

Honestly I’m not sure there’s that big a difference between this and the NYX Dipbrow pomade but I still think I prefer this, even if only for the packaging and the bigger range of shades. It is so easy to use on my brows and literally does not smudge which is a must for me. I apply it with my Bobbi Brown angle brow brush and it goes on like a dream. I use the shade medium brown.
5. About Face by Aisling McDermott and Laura Kennedy

Ok so I know technically this is a book and not a beauty product, but it’s all about beauty and I couldn’t leave it out! Over the past few weeks with working nights I’ve been picking up a book to keep me occupied and I must have read this about three times already! It really is a beauty bible and gives you so much information. I loved reading what products the girls had liked (and disliked). It’s a must have for any girl young or old that loves makeup but doesn’t know where to start, or those who have started and can’t stop!
So that’s my five favourite beauty products from January. There was so much more that I loved this month but I’d be here forever if I listed everything!
