I’m excited to be heading along to the Dublin Fashion Festival next week. This event is held annually by Dublintown.ie and hosts a series of shopping and fashion events from the 7th to the 13th of September.
Part of what I love about this event is its focus on Irish designers. I can’t wait to visit the Emily Quinn “Bring it All Back Home” Exhibition which will be open all week in the Meeting House, Temple Bar. I feel that some of the best designers in the industry are Irish so I am really looking forward to seeing what is on show.
I, like most of you out there, will have to go to work for a few days during the week and will miss out on some of the best events. For those of you who can go, I highly recommend heading over to the Luas stop at St. Stephen’s Green on Friday the 11th between 1-3pm. DublinTown and Luas are teaming up to present you with the #GLAMTRAM. You will able to hop on and enjoy delicious food and drink courtesy of MAO and TGI Fridays! There will also be mini makeovers provided by Tony and Guy and Boots No. 7… I am seriously jealous that I am going to miss this! Passengers aboard the red and green lines will be in with chances to win some great prizes with the Luas Style Spotter Competition.
I am definitely going to try make it to some of the on street fashion shows. These will be held on every day of the festival on Henry Street and Grafton Street, so fingers crossed we get the late summer we’ve been promised! Both these major Dublin shopping destinations will have beauty workshops and fashion shows every day from 12-6pm.
