My October Favourites

This year has gone by so fast. It feels weird that Halloween has already come and gone. Before we all go mad in the run up to Christmas I thought I’d share with you some of my favourite products from October.

1. Monuspa Rosewood Reviving Mist

I received this product from Glossybox in its June edition. I was excited to try it out but at the same time sceptical. After trying it out all month, it’s safe to say I really like this product. It feels so good on my skin. Unlike some mists, it doesn’t leave a sticky residue and the scent is amazing. I’ve been using this towards the end of my day in work and I feel really refreshed after spritzing myself.
2. Invisibobble

This is now the only thing I will use to tie my hair up! My hair can get seriously knotted and whenever I’m using a normal hair bobbin I always end up pulling my hair with it when I’m trying to take it out. That just doesn’t happen with this. The invisibobble can take a bit of getting used to as it feels weird the first time you use it and I wasn’t sure what difference it would make, but it works. My only issue with this is that it will stretch out a certain amount after using it a few times. It comes in a tight little ring in its box but at this stage it has stretched out to about the width of my wrist. This doesn’t stop it from doing its job it just means you need to wrap it an extra time around your ponytail if you want your hair held tight.
3. Aveeno Moisturising Cream

With the weather getting colder it is so important to protect our skin. I suffer from dermatitis on my hands and arms which means I have to be really careful about what products I touch. After a few days of constantly scrubbing my hands in work my skin will inevitably break down and my hands can get really cracked and sore. My godmother gave me this to try out as I was fed up spending money on hand creams that just don’t do what they’re supposed to. After using it my skin felt instantly hydrated and soft. The cream contains Colloidal Oatmeal and is recommended for dry/sensitive skin and has now become a must have for me.
4. NYX Mat Rouge a Levres – MLS10 ‘Perfect Red’

Autumn marks the beginning of the best seasons for makeup lovers. Autumn/winter makeup is so glam and dramatic. Statement lips are a big part of this and I’m loving this bold red from NYX cosmetics. I am super picky about red lipsticks so I tend to lean towards a blue-based red as I have cool undertones in my skin so this shade was perfect for me! I want a lipstick to be long wearing and know that isn’t going to smudge leaving me looking like the Joker. I’ve only worn this twice since buying it but it has definitely become one of my favourite red lippies
5. Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips – Nude Eyes

I have read a few good reviews on these eyeliners so when I spotted them reduced by 20% in a pharmacy that was closing down I knew I had to get them! They come in a pack of three eyeliners and there are a few different packs to choose from based on your eye colour. Instead of picking the pack for blue eyes I decided to go with the Nude Eyes Trio. I love a brown smoky eye and these eyeliners just finish off the look perfectly. The pack comes with a black, brown and gold eyeliner. They are amazing and I’ve found myself using them so much. They are super creamy and just glide onto the lid. I found these so easy to use and definitely a must have if you don’t have time to spend ages perfecting that damn flick. At only ?16.90 for three eyeliners, they are definitely worth buying!

Thanks for reading guys!
